 PREVENTION AGAINST  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ,CRUELTY.

  SAFETY OF WOMEN BEGINS FROM HOME ITSELF......

Since ancient period Women are given a place of Goddess Laxmi  in family .... She is treated as a powerful women of the house ....in every part of India.
Despite of this every third woman  every day suffer from physical and mental violence in the home. according to survey 27% woman suffer from Physical Violence at age of 15.
Early Marriages have made the life of a women at it worst ... as today also in the village area ... girls get married at the age of 15.
This Act is common in rural part as the people her are unaware of the law.  29% cases are reported according to the survey from rural areas and 25% from Urban areas.
The issues are becoming  so serious in couple of years due to the hunger of money. The daughter - in law are not treated as a  human being , as they are treated as a money machine where marriage are done just to make a money out of it.
Not only Physical Cruelty but also Sexual harassment is also reported .

Violence is referred as a  physical and mental threat .
Domestic Violence is the violence made by husband and relatives or in laws against the wife or daughter in law for the demand of dowry.
Mostly the victims of The Domestic Violence are women.
Many women do not report about the same as they are bind by the family rituals and image.
Domestic Violence can happen to anyone .It occurs within all ages , caste , ethics , background and economic level.
Domestic Violence can lead a women with anxiety , stress and Depression.
The signs of Domestic violence are simple  :

  1.  Being afraid of your partner.
  2.  Feeling emotionally weak
  3. Thoughts of committing suicide 

 Domestic Violence falls under Section 498 A of Indian Penal Code.
 The Offences created under this act are Physical Violence such as beating , slapping , banging head on wall , adding species to food, and many more.
Mental Violence such as dominating a women , abusing her verbally , shaming , isolation and controlling the behavior.

The  Cruelty shall be punished with imprisonment of 3 years which may extend and the offence can also be liable for a specific amount which too can extend
As soon as you find domestic violence against you  or any women , the first step is to file a FIR (FIRST INFORMATION REPORT) in nearest police station.  
Secondly , find a good lawyer who can guide you with proper proceedings of the court.
Thirdly , Collect all the reliable documents and evidences which will be helpful for the proceedings in court.

Drug Laws in India
